CyberMaryland Government & Policy Forum 2023 to Host Onliner Jeff Man

Our very own Sr. Information Security Consultant, Jeff Man will be speaking at the 2023 CyberMaryland Governance and Policy Forum!

As one of the founding members of NSA’s first penetration testing or Red Team, Jeff will be presenting: “NSA Red Team – More Tales from the Crypt…Analyst”.

While the thought of NSA hiring hackers or engaging in cyber warfare might be fairly common today, it was not always the case. Somebody had to be first, and the policies, procedures, methodologies, and rules of engagement had to be developed for not only conducting what we called Vulnerability and Threat Assessments, but for successfully navigating the politics, bureaucracy, and reticence of this often-misunderstood clandestine organization. The first NSA penetration testing team was assembled as a part of the newly formed center of excellence called the Systems and Network Attack Center (SNAC). To quote Charles Dickens, It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness. Come hear some war stories from the early days and see how this industry and the practice of penetration testing has evolved over the past 30 years.

As part of the annual CyberMaryland Conference, the Federal Business Council, Inc. is hosting the CyberMaryland Forum at the Dreamport Mission Accelerator in Columbia, MD. CyberMaryland events connect the best of academia, government, and private industry organizations to ensure the cyber-safety of today and educate the cybersecurity professionals of tomorrow. Additionally, they provide an opportunity for Maryland to demonstrate its natural leadership in Cybersecurity.

Come support Jeff Man and gain some valuable insight on Wednesday March 15th from 3:30PM – 3:55 PM EDT. Register Here!
